About Yaye - The Story Begins

Our story begins in Central Australia in April 2020 during the height of Covid-19. Our founder, Melissa Cole, sought an antibacterial handwash that wouldn’t dry or irritate the skin. As a teacher in Mparntwe (Alice Springs), Melissa participated in learning country lessons; because of this, she was aware that many of the native plants in the Central Australian region had antiseptic and healing qualities.

Melissa believed other consumers were looking for an Australian-made, biodegradable range with native plant extracts, too. From there, Yaye was born.

Yaye is a 100% Australian-made, 100% Indigenous-owned bath and beauty range that soothes and protects the skin.

Yaye has three signature ranges, each with bush medicine extract and fragrance. The scents have been carefully matched to evoke the smells and textures of the unique Central Australia landscape.
