How do you say Yaye?

Yaye (pronounced Yah-Yah) is the Arrernte word for Big Sister.

Are you an Indigenous business?

Yes, Yaye is a 100% Indigenous owned and operated business.

Where are you located?

We are located in Garramilla (Larrakia language for Darwin) Northern Territory, Australia.

Have you been given permission to use these First Nations words, names and Ingredients?

Yes. Our products have been shown to Arrernte Elders at all stages of development for feedback. As my husband Anthony and our children are Arrernte, we can use Arrernte words in our business. We will incorporate Warumungu language and bush medicine extracts into our range as we expand. This is my grandmother’s language.

How do you say the names of the Bush Medicines used in your products?

As a First Nations business, we value language and culture exceptionally and highly. 

Because of this, you will find a recording of the correct pronunciation of the bush
medicine names on our website here.

How do you give back to Indigenous Communities?

We believe in strengthening Indigenous language, culture and education. We encourage customers to donate to Yipirinya School, a two-way bilingual school located in Alice Springs. 

How are your bush medicines sourced?

Our Bush Medicine extracts are ethically sourced through a process called cellular
extraction.

Our providers use eco-conscious manufacturing practices, sourcing the highest-quality raw materials from Organic Growers and Wild Harvesters in collaboration with Indigenous Enterprises. 

Do you ship overseas?

Yes. However, due to freight cost variations, please get in touch with us here for overseas shipping rates, and your order can be processed. 

How can I order as a corporate buyer, distributor or stockist?

What packaging do you use?

We use RPET plastic bottles and jars, which are manufactured in Australia.  All our ingredients are biodegradable.

What is the shelf-life of your products?

12 months from time of opening.
